FIU Parkview Promenade transforms an existing campus quad into a major pedestrian and social landscape connecting new student housing with the football stadium and campus. Designed to support everyday student life and major university events, the promenade creates flexible spaces for gathering, tailgating, performances, and recreation. Integrated event infrastructure allows the landscape to transition from daily campus use to larger celebrations and game day activities. A distinctive composition of contrasting paving breaks down the scale of the promenade and gives different areas their own identity. New paths, seating, and planting are woven around mature existing oak trees, preserving their canopy while creating shaded spaces throughout the landscape. The result is a dynamic campus landscape that strengthens connections, supports a wide range of activities, and creates a distinctive identity for this evolving part of FIU.
